Hanoi, train street

in

There is a street in the city which is famous for the train passing there. A narrow street which became a tourist attraction. It’s like buildings built as close as possible to the railway, with small cafe’s to sit in front of them. Just enough space for a row of chairs.

Before the train arrives, the bell is ringing. This gives the sign for the owners to close the tables which would be to close to the train. Both sides of the street is packed with tourists. It’s not allowed to stand up from the chair – for safety.

4-5 times per day a regular train leaves from Hanoi to another city via this route.

And what about the red flags? Vietnam is celebrating the state’s 80th birthday and independance this year so the entire city is covered with these flags.
